I decided to post pics of Saturday and Sunday because I thought they were more interesting. Since having Olivia I always post pics of her daily so you can see Fridays if you like. But Saturday the three of us drove to Rhode Island (Didn’t think it was that close to New York) because we were invited to a friend’s wedding on Sunday. On the way to the hotel Niel saw an Armenian Church and a sign pointing to some Armenian park which we totally found by accident. Next to a Tim Horton’s. We haven’t been to one of those since Canada two summers ago. They have yummy treats. Much better than Dunkin Donuts which were all over Rhode Island since it is an New England invention. Niel’s brother his fiancee Mandy, friend Kelvin and his wife Shawnda were also there. The three of us stayed at the Ramada in Massachusetts. That part of Mass bordered that part of Rhode Island. We got there in the afternoon changed and headed to the bride’s(lovely girl) parents home for a BBQ. The food was alright but a big hit was the chocolate fountain and trampoline. And Miss Olivia was pretty popular as well if I do say so myself.
Sunday was the wedding but not till the late afternoon and I wanted to see the oldest mall in America called The Arcade. So after lunch with Mike, Mandy, Kelvin and Shawnda. Mike and Mandy came with us. It was closed so we thought we could go to a balloon festival. No such luck. Then we hope to eat some Cohiouges. No such luck either. We settled on Mexican. Pretty tasty. Chatted up the pregnant waitress then went back to change for the wedding. I don’t think I have ever been to a lovelier wedding. I’ve been to fun ones, a lot of destination ones but nothing as lovely as this one. The wedding had a lot of elements to it and could have been too much but whoever planned the wedding did a great job. The bride’s favorite color blue was used throughout, dresses, napkins and candy favors. She also walked down the isle to the Hawaiian version of Some Where Over The Rainbow. One of my favorite versions. I started to cry. Niel’s brother then read a speech then after a quick but beautiful service the bride and groom walked through a arch of swords. The groom is in the Navy. Cocktails and appetisers were passed out. Then we all went inside to eat some dinner and dance to great 80’s music. We danced with the baby. The reception hall was in an old barn and the beams showed. The mantle was decorated with family photos and the ceiling had twinkly lights, paper stars and Star Wars figures(the grooms favorite movie). The next day we had breakfast together It was a lot of fun vacationing with friends even if we didn’t do any site seeing but it was fun even doing the regular things like breakfast and hanging out and chatting.
